David Yates is the new Lady Warriors Basketball coach

David Yates, an Irvine resident who works at IUSD in campus safety at Creekside School, has been selected from several candidates to replace Eric Bangs as girls basketball coach at Woodbridge. Yates is a former assistant boys basketball coach at Mission Viejo and Northwood.
Good luck to Coach Yates and the Lady Warriors in 2011-12.

Warriors beat Centennial; face Troy in semifinals Saturday
2/24/2011 Girls Basketball
Woodbridge 49, Corona Centennial 37: The Warriors (25-3) played great defense Wednesday night and held the high scoring Huskies to nearly half of their recent scoring in a CIF-SS D1A quarterfinal game at Centennial High School.
Three Woodbridge players accounted for 46 of the team's total points, led by sophomore Sarah Lipton with 19 points, including five 3-point goals. Sammy Doucettealso had 15 points with Nikki Kraus chipping in with 12. Kraus was also outstanding with 6 assists and 5 steals on defense. Game summary.
The Warriors now enter into the semifinal round of the CIF-SS D1A playoffs and will face Troy on Saturday at 7:00pm on a neutral court at La Habra High School.
Be sure to travel with your Lady Warriors on Saturday to cheer on the girls!
